Voice modules
Haiben is a Shenzhen-based electronic components supplier founded in 2013. Through our Weforsemi line, operated by our wholly-owned subsidiary, we supply voice ICs, audio ICs and voice modules, and we build voice-control PCBA for manufacturers who want the audio function integrated at board level rather than specified component by component. This page explains what we keep in stock and in production, and how to specify a voice module or voice PCBA for a volume build.
What a voice module is, in B2B terms
A voice module is a small assembly that combines a voice or audio IC with the supporting circuitry a product needs to capture, recognise or play sound: a microphone input path, an output amplifier, memory or recognition firmware, and the connectors that tie it to the host product. For a purchasing team, the module is a single line item with one part number and one set of incoming inspection criteria. For a hardware engineer, it is a defined interface — supply voltage, input and output levels, package and mounting — that can be designed into an enclosure without reopening the audio schematic at every revision.
The distinction that matters most in our catalogue is between recognition and playback. A recognition module interprets spoken commands; a playback module stores and replays audio. Many product functions need one or the other, and some need both.
Recordable and sound modules, honestly framed
Searches for "recordable voice module" and "sound module" reach a mixed audience. Some of those visitors are building a one-off project at a workbench, and the parts they want are genuinely useful to them. This is a B2B supply site, though, so the offer here is framed at production level: modules and PCBA intended to be designed into a product, ordered in production quantities, and supported with the documentation a manufacturing line needs.
If you are specifying sound for a product, the decision usually turns on the amplifier as much as the module. Our voice ICs and audio IC range includes the VC2033 mono audio amplifier IC, which operates from 2.5 V to 5.5 V and switches between Class AB and Class D operation. It offers two anti-clipping options, with an anti-clipping compression range of -10 dB. Class D output power is 3.1 W at VDD 5.0 V into a 4 ohm load and 1.8 W at VDD 5.0 V into 8 ohm, both at THD+N 10%, in a DFN2x2-8L package. The sibling part VC8210 is a single-channel Class AB/D audio amplifier IC in the same DFN2x2-8L package, rated 3.1 W in Class D. These figures come from the manufacturer's published data and should be checked against your own thermal and acoustic requirements.
Voice-control PCBA: the board-level offer
Our published positioning centres on offline voice recognition — voice control that works locally, without an internet connection. For appliances and small devices this removes network dependency from the control path. The group carries a dedicated Voice Recognition PCBA Board group, and the boards listed there show the range of products this approach suits.
Published voice PCBA examples include the AC42228-SH001 offline smart voice recognition kettle circuit board PCBA, the VC100GA-V1.0 tea bar module PCBA with ASR voice control, an ASR offline voice control night light PCBA module, a mosquito repellent lamp voice PCBA, and smart home voice control module PCBA boards. ASR here means automatic speech recognition. If you are weighing a module against a full board build, our PCB assembly service covers the board-level route, and the voice recognition modules category covers the module route.
Specifying a module for production
Bring the following to the quotation stage, and the specification conversation stays short:
- Function: recognition, playback or both, and whether offline operation is required.
- Supply voltage and current budget available on your host board.
- Audio output: load impedance and target output power, so the amplifier choice can be fixed.
- Mechanical constraints: board outline, mounting, connector type and microphone placement.
- Volume, expected lifetime and any incoming test requirements your line applies.
On our side, the Weforsemi group operates an integrated chain covering R&D, wafer testing, packaging, and AI voice chip production and sales. That chain is what allows a module and its core IC to be quoted together rather than sourced separately.
Frequently asked questions
Do your voice modules need an internet connection?
Our published positioning is offline voice recognition: the recognition runs locally on the module or board, so the voice control function does not depend on a network connection.
Can you supply the voice function as a finished board rather than a module?
Yes. We list voice PCBA boards for products such as kettles, tea bars, night lights, fans and smart-home devices, and our PCB assembly service covers builds to your specification.
Who supplies the Weforsemi parts?
The Weforsemi line is our own-brand semiconductor line, operated by Haiben's wholly-owned subsidiary. Haiben is the supplier of record for orders placed through this site.
